Calf volumization between desire and need!
Even the calves were not forgotten, and our specialists created the right procedures for this area of the body. Thus we are talking about calf volumization (for patients who have very little volume in the area) or calf reduction with botulinum toxin (for patients who are facing much too much volume in the area).
Calf augmentation is a surgical procedure that is performed by inserting a silicone implant in the area, which has the role of providing a fuller, more toned appearance. The intervention is suitable even for patients who, following an accident, were left with visible sequelae.
How is the procedure performed?
Being a surgical intervention, it is performed under total anesthesia, to ensure the patient’s safety and comfort throughout the operation.
As with the breast implant, and with the calf augmentation procedure, the doctor will make an incision at the back of the knee. Then the implant will be inserted, which has a shape very close to the natural one. At the end, a compressive dressing will be applied to prevent edema.
Most patients can resume normal walking after about 7 days. Until then, the patient will only take light walks around the house. Slowly, slowly, after the recovery period, the patient will be able to resume his daily activities.
The result after the intervention
The calf augmentation procedure with silicone implants is a permanent operation. Postoperatively, the cosmetic result is unexpected for most patients, because it offers them a very big change, which restores their confidence and the desired physical appearance.
