Vampire therapy with benefits and medical indications
Vampire therapy prp (Platelet Rich Plasma), popularly known as “vampire therapy”, has become an increasingly well-known and sought-after treatment by patients in recent years. This also happened due to the exposure of public figures, who resorted to this procedure and told about the experience and the results obtained.
Vampire prp therapy is extremely effective and can have multiple benefits both on the skin (rejuvenates and regenerates the skin, treats post-acne scars), but also on the scalp and hair (stops hair loss and stimulates growth and regeneration).
At the Legacy Med clinic , we find the optimal treatment methods for our patients, according to their needs, in order to benefit from the most beautiful results.
What is the principle of VAMPIRE PRP THERAPY
Vampire therapy is a treatment that uses the patient’s own platelet-rich plasma. It contains cells and platelets that, when injected back into the skin, accelerate the natural production of collagen and elastin, which will rejuvenate the skin and give it a rejuvenated appearance.
How is vampire therapy performed?
The procedure is minimally invasive and is carried out through a staged process, in the specialist doctor’s office.
The first step is to collect a small amount of blood, between 8 and 20 ml (depending on the treated area), which will be stored in a sterile test tube.
The next step is to insert the test tube into a medical device called a centrifuge, which will separate the blood into layers (red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma). Plasma is the “ingredient” that interests us the most to perform this procedure, because the last but not the last step involves the reintroduction of plasma, rich in platelets, back into the body through small local injections.
The procedure can be performed on the face, neck or scalp and, depending on the patient’s needs, several sessions may be required.
The benefits of the procedure
Vampire therapy stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, fades fine wrinkles and regenerates tissues. The procedure can be performed at any age because, apart from its antiaging properties, it manages to improve the tone, texture and firmness of the skin. The treatment is also effective for patients who have suffered from aggressive acne and were left with marks or scars as a result.
Vampire scalp therapy
Another extremely important benefit of this intervention is stopping hair loss and stimulating growth. The treatment is also often indicated for patients who have previously chosen a hair implant procedure.
To achieve the best results, several sessions, staged, are generally required.
