Blepharoplasty is a surgical intervention that aims to correct the appearance of the eye area, upper and lower eyelids. The intervention is performed under anesthesia, so that the patient does not feel pain or discomfort during the operation.
Through small incisions, the specialist will extract the excess skin that gives the eyelids the “fallen” effect, lifting the area slightly.
After extracting the skin, the area will be sutured and special bandages will be applied.
A few days after the intervention, the patient must come to a new consultation, where the doctor will check the area and its degree of healing.

Being a surgical intervention, the results will not be visible immediately after the operation. The patient will wear special plasters to keep the hygiene of the area.

After 10-14 days after the intervention, after the doctor will remove the threads, you will see small improvements in the appearance of the area.

In the first 24-48 hours after the procedure, it is recommended to apply cold compresses to the area. These have the role of reducing edema and swelling.

At the same time, it is recommended that the patient keep the position of the head slightly elevated, in the first days after the operation, for the proper healing of the area.

If pain or any kind of discomfort occurs, the patient can opt for analgesics.

The sutures will be removed approximately 7 days after the intervention.
